Room Setup and Standard Equipment1. Standard upper endoscopy setup:
- a. Endoscopy tower (e.g., Olympus 140 Series or newer)
b. Gastroscope
c. Endoscope, 5 mm diameter or narrower and at least 105 cm in length
(e.g., Olympus GIF-N180 Gastroscope)
d. Room suction
3. Laparoscopic tower, incl. high flow CO2 insufflator
General Supplies, Disposable:
1. Standard drapes and patient accessories for upper G.I. endoscopy
2. ET tube, IV set for anesthesia
3. Bite block, at least 20 mm internal diameter
(e.g., Omni Bite Block - GI Supply GIS-11, Olympus EndoTherapy - item #710104)
4. Astroglide and KY lubricant
5. 20cc Luer syringe, sterile water and basin, gauze sponges, alcohol wipes
6. Laparoscopic insufflation tubing, standard
Endoscopic Instruments, Reusable or Disposable:
1. Straight scissors
(e.g., Olympus FS-3L-1, Surgical Scissors 165cm x 2.8mm)
2. Biopsy forceps
